Ms. Merrikin was presented with a generous $200 gift card from the Ocean State Job Lot store in Avon which will directly support the BHS urban landscape design and horticulture classes.
BHS Alumna Colleen Howland '87 is the store's manager and is one of several crew members who once walked the halls at Brockton High. Separately, the Ocean State Job Lot's corporate foundation is also donating over 500 seed packets of flowers, herbs, vegetables, and perennials which will be put to good use in BHS' refurbished green house and garden.
